Details: The essay requires: • A thorough research and treatment of the contemporary literature in the topic area. • A range of references that should demonstrate breadth and depth of research. • Industry and/or organizational examples to be incorporated into the essay as illustrative evidence. • An ability to utilise the wider literature in constructing the narrative to be displayed throughout. • Critical evaluation and diagnostic skills to be demonstrated in the choice of the data included and information sources used. • Critical evaluation and diagnostic skills in the essay’s discussion and conclusions. • Appropriate and accurate use of the Harvard Referencing System You must use a minimum of 15 references. These must comprise: • At least 9 academic articles • Up to 4 text books (including the prescribed text) • Up to 4 other authoritative sources of your choice. E.g. quality newspaper or magazine, government or NGO website. Please avoid the use of corporate websites as these tend to be promotional and not authoritative. • Wikipedia is not to be used and does not count as a reference. Please refer to the Assessment Criteria (next page) in order to direct your efforts in this assessment.
