Comprehensive Risk Assessment of a Major Public Event
For your final assignment, you will create a comprehensive risk assessment of your approved major public event. Your assessment should cover the following elements:
Identify a major public event that poses vulnerabilities and explain your rationale for choosing that event.
Identify the approach to be used.
Identify stakeholders in the process.
Conduct a hazard analysis to determine the characteristics of the perceived hazard and likelihood of occurrence.
Conduct vulnerability assessment to identify the assets at risk.
Evaluate the impact of the risk on the major public event.
Use risk-based decision making to develop mitigating initiatives that reduce the risk of the event occurrence.
Submission Requirements
Written communication: Your writing should clearly identify where each grading criteria or part of the assignment is addressed. Your points are required to be logical, substantive, and relevant based on the evidence presented. The writing must be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
APA Guidelines: Resources and citations are formatted according to current APA style and formatting. When appropriate, use APA-formatted headings.
Resources: A minimum of 10 scholarly resources (compile and include all resources used for the previous assignments). The 10 references must be in addition to the course readings.
Length of paper: 15–20 typed, double-spaced pages including revised assignments from Units 3 and 6, not including the title page and references.
Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 points.
