Objective 1: Identify the purpose of Numbers.
Numbers, much like Leviticus, is traditionally a difficult book to read, but its importance for the biblical narrative as a whole cannot be understated. It is more than just a census and a prophet talking to a donkey; it is a story of sin, repentance, and blessing. It is our story. Where do the Israelites fit in this story, and where can we fit this book into our lives of faith?
Learning Activity #2: Cyclical Nature Response
Taking into account the cyclical nature of Numbers, in a one-page response, outline one section of Numbers where there is the cycle of obedience, rebellion, repentance, and blessing. Why does this cycle continue to occur throughout the book?
