Literature review (20-28 pages)
This part represents a synthesis of scientific articles published on a given subject. It thus makes it possible to build a theoretical framework.
In this case, try to fix the following questions:
What are the (seminal) theories in the existing literature?
– What do these theories predict (in the context of your research)?
– What are the main debates in the literature?
– What empirical evidence is found in the line with these theories?
– Based on theoretical and empirical work, what are you likely to find?
Keep in mind that the ‘Literature’ section should be presented in such way that to underline theoretical or empirical results through their novelty/add comparing with the previous ones. Note that a minimum of 20 academic articles is mobilized by students and 25% of the thesis in terms of space is allocated to literature review!
