Your essay should consist of 5 developed paragraphs, double spaced, in the appropriate font (see Syllabus). Do not conduct any research; this is a response paper and should therefore be based on your analysis of the literature, consisting of own intelligent thoughts regarding the stories as well as our class lectures.
Before you start writing your actual essay, compose a one-page typed essay outline (see the Essay Outline Template in Basic Writing Skills) in which you state your original thesis statement and offer the organization of your essay (paragraph by paragraph, offering topic sentences and – in brief, bullet-style – supporting evidence). Your one-page, single spaced essay outline should be followed by a Work Cited page for the short story/graphic novel/poem that you analyze in your essay
