Description
The assessment will take the form of a 3000-word edited scene from a Shakespeare play of your choice. The editorial content consists of selected evidence from past and recent productions of the play on stage and screen that illuminates the range of ways that key moments in the scene, and the scene as a whole, have been staged, interpreted, and responded to.
You will be assessed on the following areas:
your understanding of key strands within contemporary Shakespeare performance and scholarship
your ability to analyse case studies of contemporary Shakespearean performance
your recognition of the cultural politics of performance
your capacity to communicate your ideas clearly and succinctly
