Description
This assignment has to have 2500 words, Harvard referencing style should be used in text and at the end. It should look only at M&S situation, and nothing else.
Please do not give old references, they should not go beyond 2015.
The assignment should not provide info about M&S that go beyond 2015, it should treat the period when Steve Rowe became chief executive (around 2015) until present, with future planning something up to 2025. Obviously, you can say when M&S was founded.
You can use as many references/sources as needed, please make sure that they are genuine and reliable because the accessor is going to check them.
The M&S introduction, in point 1 should be done briefly, containing info like how many people work for them, how many stores they have, their revenue, gross profit margins-most recent, their mission, vision and strategy statement.
In point 2, use the tools from power point document 7 (internal growth, external growth-please do not make the same mistake as in the previous assignment in regards to the internal/organic growth) to show the methods of development used by Steve Rowe since he came into management. Show what kind of strategies has M&S fallowed and is currently following.
In point 3 when analysing the leadership and management style of Steve Rowe you have to relate to the case study. Also use the power point 9.
In document power point 9 can be found 3 models
1) THE CHANGE KALEIDOSCOPE
2) STYLE OF CHANGE LEADERSHIP- Balogun and Hope-Hailey
3) TYPES OF STRATEGIC CHANGE-Balogun and Hope-Hailey
Apply them to the M&S.
Make sure that the points, findings and analysis throughout the entire assignment, are interrelated, the work should be based on logic and clear evidence.
Use the case study information where applicable.
In point 5 , you have to explain what is sustainability strategy, then what is M&S’s sustainability strategy at the moment and what are they going to do in the future in regards to it, as far as 2025 if possible. Make sure that you offer accurate information, not speculations.
