Description
The tasks involved in this assignment include the reading, interpretation, and discussion of a peer-reviewed scholarly journal article focused on Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. This peer-reviewed scholarly journal article must be written after 1990, and it must be published in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that is found using one of the electronic journal article search databases through the Methodist University Davis Memorial Library (Links to an external site.) (like JSTOR, Literature Criticism Online, or ProQuest Central). Be sure to ask the staff at the library or email me if you have any questions on how to access those electronic resources. Also, the article that you research for this assignment must be at least 15 pages long, and it does need to specifically discuss the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde during the majority of the article.
When writing your Critical Response on the article that you researched, consider the following questions and issues:
What important aspects of The Picture of Dorian Gray does the article focus on and/or reveal, and to what extent do you agree or disagree with that article? How specifically has this article given you a new and/or enhanced sense of understanding in relation to the novel?
