I. SHORT ESSAY.
Essay Topic: Show how the New Testament meets the seven criteria, discussed in the textbook Following Christ in the World, of a reliable historical document. Be sure to incorporate some material from the Father Laux book, Catholic Apologetics. The essay should be 250 words, typed, double-spaced.
II. LONG ESSAY.
Essay Topic: Argue that human reason (evidence and logic) confirms the truth of the following statement: God exists.
The essay should be a minimum of about 500 words, typed, double-spaced. Be thorough in your presentation of the following points:
a) the arguments for God’s existence
b) objections for each of the arguments for God’s existence
c) the answers to each of these objections
