Can emotion co-exist with reason, or are the two diametrically opposed to each other, doomed never to cross paths? Think about a time you were involved in an emotional debate about a topic, of which you cared deeply. Without reliving the emotions, describe the circumstances of the conversation. If emotions had not been involved, would you have been able to argue your point more effectively? Either way, what was the outcome of the discussion? There is disagreement as to whether a computer or machine is capable of conscious, rational thought and perhaps even more disagreement as to whether they are capable of emotions. If you put your emotional debate into a machine, would the machine have given the same result as you? Would the machine have been correct?
