1. Identify three relevant, reliable sources of information (and explain why you think these sources are relevant and reliable) for your MML Task 1 question: “Define ‘leadership’ and ‘management. Explain the differences between them.” 2. Read and take notes from each of the sources. Identify common themes/ideas. Look for similarities and differences in the information, and identify these in your notes. 3. Re-write your notes, so that they present a thorough overview of the topic, bringing all three sources together. 4. Present the same information in LINEAR notes form, then in MIND MAP form (or similar). 5. Evaluate the use of the different forms, and explain why you might choose one form of notes over another for different types of information or research. 6. Use your notes to develop an plan to answer the question: “Assess the effect that effective or poor leadership can bring to an organisation, using real business examples” (MML Task 1). Accurate Harvard Referencing (name/year) should be used, NEXT TO the information it refers to, with a reference list provided at the end.
