e) Identify new opportunities available to your sport (approx. 500 words) In section d) you analysed current offerings of your sport, now you need to critically evaluate and identify shortfalls in these offerings. That is, where can your sport improve to better cater for ‘sport for all’? Here you need to be critical in evaluating opportunities in order for your sport to solve the challenges/issues of providing ‘sport for all’.
From the identified areas of shortcomings, you need to develop creative and innovative ideas for a new program or pathway for the further growth of the sport. This new program/pathway must be clearly related to either sport development or sport equity. You need to outline what the program/pathway is (structure, timing, costs of participation in the program etc) and who the target audience is.
The quality of this discussion will be guided by the extent to which you are able to identify new opportunities and develop a well thought, creative and innovative program/pathway and provide references to academic and industry research sources
