The implementation of standards has sometimes been controversial for teachers and district leaders. As you analyze the implementation of standards-based learning, consider the relevance of learning theories.
Following an analysis of learning theories which support or refute the implementation of a standards-driven curriculum, illustrate how teachers maximize student learning in a process chart.
Step 1. Research
Research two specific learning theories and how they relate to implementation of standards.
Step 2. Examine
Examine the various ways learning theories influence the development of standards, and, subsequently, teacher instruction for student learning.
Step 3. Illustrate
Illustrate in a process chart how teachers apply standards to design curriculum to maximize student learning given learning theories.
Step 4. Create
Create a document which supports or refutes your argument of how the two learning theories impact implementation of the standards, teacher instruction, and students learning.
Step 5. Compile
Compile all steps into an APA-formatted paper complete with a title page, references page, and the chart as a figure.
