Assignment 3 – Write Character Biography B . This three-page paper requires that students examine a major character in School Girls within its historical, political, and social context. The paper then needs to be written from the viewpoint and in the voice of the chosen character. Here are some questions to consider: What are the major social/economic/political events that impact the character during the play? What life experiences have impacted the character’s outlook on relationships and other issues in the play? How do images and/or experiences of America impact the word view of the character? You will need to do research into the period of the play and understand important events in the play to gain an understanding of the cultural context. It is best to focus on a particular event or issue than trying to generalize over a broad range of subjects.
