Try to use this exercise to simply wrap your mind around the purpose of the article and how that purpose is accomplished by the author(s). How to Prepare your Presentation Summaries for This Course:
Your primary task for the summaries are as follows:
1. You are to “re-present” the ideas in the readings by explaining them in your own words and by citing the author directly. A combination of both is the best technique. Put another way, please be sure to paraphrase rather than simply “quote” what the author has written.
