It was Nevell Provo’s journey as an athlete that led him to entrepreneurship. The idea for Smooth Meal Prep was inspired by Nevell’s mother Karen Provo who would prepare healthy meals for Nevell throughout his athletic career. Recognizing a desire for something similar from his peers, Nevell launched Smooth Meal Prep in 2018, a family business with his mother and brother. Starting from humble beginnings, the company now serves 1000’s of customers and generates over $500,000 in revenues annually. They have also launched a restaurant, R&B Kitchen.
One of the core values for the business is community. From its inception, Smooth Meal Prep has focused on providing jobs in their community of North Preston.
