A* with consistent h-values guarantees that the sequence of f-values of the expanded vertices is monotonically non-decreasing. In other words, ƒ(s)≤ ƒ(s′)if A* expands vertex s before vertex s′. Theta* does not have this property.
Construct an example search problem where Theta* expands a vertex whose f-value is smaller than the f-value of a vertex that it has already expanded.
Do not forget to list the h-values of Theta* and argue that your h-values are indeed consistent. Then, show a trace of Theta* for this example search problem, similar to Figures 3 and 5.
