#1 Discuss the methods used to impose criminal liability on children under the age of seven and between ages seven and fourteen. Should the methods be different?
#2 What prompted the change in most states, if not all, that a person cannot use deadly force in the defense of property? Do you agree with this change? Should a property owner be allowed to use a booby trap as long as notice, for example by use of a sign, is provided to an intruder?

#4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXTQ8ixxG64 Discussion: Why is it difficult to separate capital punishment from emotion? Why is it important that the law separate itself from emotion? What are the strengths of the video? What are the weaknesses?
#5 Visit the internet site of the National Rifle Association. Whatever your opinion is about gun ownership and control, the site is very informative. Also visit the sites for The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, to be exposed to the other side of the debate on gun control. The Brady Campaign was formed by Jim and Sarah Brady after Jim, who was President Ronald Regan’s press secretary, was shot and seriously wounded during an a1981 attempt to assassinate the President. Consider whether well-publicized shootings since Columbine have impacted their opinions about gun control. Explain
#6 Define the 3 types of homicide discussed in the text and discuss the corpus delicti element.
#7 Review your text and the Texas penal code. Discuss the difference between assault and battery. Have the two crimes been combined into one offense? If not, how are the crimes of assault and battery distinguished? Does their assault or battery crime law require the aggressor have the “present ability” to commit harm?
