- Chapter 8 Early Adulthood:
In early adulthood, the need for intimacy and close connection with others is critical for psychological wellbeing, although today’s generation of young adults is typically focused on career goals, planning for the future and making decisions that will affect their “life course.” Both factors are important during this stage, and so this week you have a choice of issues to discuss. And since Covid-19 has presented many additional challenges, you are welcome to address them in your response. Your response should be around 250 words. Provide at least one support from the sources into your response. Choose one of the following to answer:
- As a complement to your career evaluation assignments, discuss some of the issues related to employment and the workplace. These may include (but are not limited to) employment opportunities, preparation for entry into the job market, the application and hiring process, working cooperatively with others, dealing with authority, workplace demands and stressors, rapidly changing work conditions or work/family conflict.

- What are some of the challenges related to mate selection in today’s society? How has increased focus on career during early adulthood impacted intimate relationships, marriage and family?
