On page 100 of the Healthcare Allocation reading from last week it says: “The radical difference between the universal healthcare system of the UK and the prevailing free market (supplemented by some government aid) in the US reflects deep ideological differences” (Fisher 2001, 100).
Find websites and news articles that compare the current US healthcare system to the NHS in England. These may be about particular cases, outcomes for particular diseases such as breast cancer, or general comparisons.
Discuss the radical difference between the NHS and the US Healthcare system and identify and discuss the ideological sources of the different systems.
