Write an email message using professional formatting and following writing rules per the email guidelines handout, where you evaluate advice you have received from the Student Success Center (SSC) for any one of your assignments this semester. Use a proper subject line, introduction, body development, closing, etc. The SSC feedback should be evaluated based on strengths and weaknesses using ‘constructive’ and professional wording.
Include a clearly stated ‘subject’ that indicates the topic of your email message. Be sure to use the appropriate subdivisions to break up your email into clearly formatted paragraphs. Include a 3-4 sentence introductory paragraph, a body paragraph for positive feedback you will use and another body paragraph for feedback you would not (or should not use), and an appropriate closing paragraph that uses a goodwill ending and includes a specific call for action (3-5 sentences). Your body paragraphs should be 4-6 sentences each (the maximum length of the body paragraphs should be 8-12 sentences). Be sure to use specific examples of wording/advice the tutor has given you to support your claims in your evaluation. Then you need to end your email message with your full name, phone number, and email address in the ‘signature section’ (refer to the student sample as a guide for formatting).
You are addressing the email to me, but you may mention the name of the tutor in the email message. Please be honest in your evaluation, but use an appropriate professional tone.
