1. You are expected to paraphrase, quote, and cite the reading and at least one other source as appropriate.
2. Make sure you have a clear and complete thesis.
3. Have a reasonably well-developed (as in detailed and specific) discussion, including thorough descriptions and explanations of ideas from Gladwell, as you do, but use other class readings as well as a clear explanation of your source from the Library database.
4. With research and quotations from the reading selection: Do not just announce who wrote the quotation: locate and contextualize it. Use the opportunity to “pre-interpret” the quotation by demonstrating how it logically follows the previous sentence in the paragraph. Avoid Floating quotations.
