Introduction (200 words)
This sets the scene for your area of clinical practice, may be used to illustrate how you will meet the module learning outcomes. You also need to state which evidence based guideline you have chosen to appraise including a reference.
Main Body
Divide the assignment into 4 distinct sections each sub-labelled with a Learning Outcome 1, 2, 3 and 4. This will ensure that you are addressing them all. Each learning outcome must be addressed relating it to your chosen guideline. For each learning outcome you will have approximately 900 words of supporting text which addresses the theoretical underpinnings related to each learning outcome applied to your chosen guidance. Critically evaluate the guideline in relation to each learning outcome and to provide a reasoned analysis of its application to practice.
Conclusion (200 words)
Use this to summarise your thoughts around your chosen evidence based guideline and how this demonstrates your increasing level of advanced clinical skills, critical thinking and clinical decision making in practice. This may also lead you to identify ongoing development needs and how to meet your professional competency in the future in relation the advanced practice role.
