Description
Instructions
Conduct a series of statistical analyses for a quantitative study. You will use SPSS to conduct the analysis. You will then prepare a PowerPoint presentation in which you share the results of the analysis. Each slide should contain notes (at least 100 words) describing the analysis in narrative form.
Use the attached SPSS file to complete the following:
1.Introduce the assignment by stating the importance of hypothesis testing in research and how statistics are used to accomplish this.
2.Run, with appropriate graphics, the descriptive statistics for each of the variables in the data
3.Using the above results please describe the central tendency and dispersion of each variable in the slide notes using formal writing.
4.Select variables appropriate to conducting a t-test. Use these variables to develop both null and alternative hypotheses. 5.Conduct the analysis and interpret the results in the slide notes using formal writing.
6.Select variables appropriate to conducting a one-way ANOVA. The categorical variable must have at least three groups. Use these variables to develop both null and alternative hypotheses. Conduct the analysis and interpret the results in the slide notes using formal writing. Justify why you did, or did not, perform and interpret a post hoc analysis.
7.Select three variables appropriate to conducting a correlation analysis. Use these variables to develop both null and alternative hypotheses. Conduct the analysis and interpret the results in the slide notes using formal writing
8.Write a formal summary statement in which you reflect on the use and value of the statistical tests (descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation) used in this assignment.
9.Close the assignment with a formally written reflection on building a statistical mindset and developing statistical confidence.
