Throughout the last half of the semester, we have continued to learn more about how changes in various aspects of public life have eroded opportunities to bolster young citizens’ trust, resources, engagement and invitations (T.R.E.I) in naturally-occurring settings. Finding ways to bolster T.R.E.I in formal education settings has become increasingly important.

What student organizations do you plan to join? What co-curricular activities will you participate in? What types of events will you attend? Will you take advantage of opportunities to volunteer? Do you plan to study abroad, sign up for an internship, or take courses that provide engaged learning opportunities? How will these activities affect your ability to be participate effectively in the civic and political life of your community, state, and nation?
