Your task will be to select a chronic and non- communicable disease and an associated health enhancing behaviour. You will then develop a primary, secondary OR tertiary intervention for the chosen disease focusing on the adoption of, or adherence to, the associated health enhancing behaviour.
First, you will need to describe the disease and a relevant health-enhancing behaviour for either its prevention OR to reduce its negative impact for those who already have the disease. You will need to provide a rationale for your choice, which will include why this disease needs to be a focus for Queensland Health, and what the benefits of this health-enhancing behaviour are in the context of the chosen disease.
Second, you will need to develop a theory-driven, novel and evidence-based primary, secondary OR tertiary intervention for your chosen disease and behaviour. You will need to describe your intervention, how its success will be evaluated, and what the possible barriers to its implementation are.
