Think of all the electronic systems you use currently at your job. Write a short 4-5 page paper using APA guidelines with at least 2 references to describe all of the systems in your working area. The total amount of pages do not include your title page and reference page.

What systems “talk” to each other or are interfaced?
Are there any pieces of data which require scanning or paper to be used in the working area?
What are the name of the systems used?
Can patients access their data via a patient portal?
Is billing incorporated into the system?
What do you like/dislike about the system(s)?
What other areas of disciplines in healthcare can document within the system?
What type of facility do you work in using the system(s)?
Where you trained to use the system and if so, by who?
How is privacy protected?
Are there any reports which can be automated or ran from the system (quality metrics, orders, etc)?
Are there any clinical decision support tools in the system? How are orders placed? Can you view results of lab/imaging within the system?
How many system do you access within your job?
Make sure to write a paper which answers all of the above questions in a report/paper format using appropriate APA guidelines.
