—Instructions
1- Select your mixed methods design (one of the three core designs, or one of the four complex designs) for your research study and provide a rationale for your selection
-The original design or any of its variants.
-Strengths of the design.
-Optionally, philosophical foundations.
2- If you could provide a graphical display (diagram/flowchart) of the selected design (Figure 3.2 on guidelines, Figures 3.5 through 3.9 for core designs, Figures 4.2 through 4.11 for complex designs), that would be perfect. If not, you should at least briefly discuss the process (research sites, participants, quantitative analyses, qualitative analyses and the result integration).

3- Provide a couple of references which also use the same mixed methods design as you do
Hopefully, the references will come from your field of study and, if applicable, your target journal. For example, if your investigation uses mixed methods to address a research question in science education and you plan to submit this manuscript to Science Education (a top-tier journal in this field), you may consider citing mixed methods publications from this particular journal (and from other science education journals) as examples.
4- Refer to Figure 3.10 on Page 97 which provides an example on how to describe a mixed methods design in a written report.

There are several types of Mixed Methods designs (Chapter 3 of Creswell & Clark). Give a summary of the one you chose to use for the previous (4 pages) writing. Remember to cite sources for the claims you make.
