Task:
The Older Women’s Network (OWN) Wellness Research Project investigated the outcomes of participation by members in programmes conducted by wellness centres and considered the relationships between health, wellness and wellbeing in older Australians.
The research had several active components:
A survey was conducted to provide information about the health and wellbeing outcomes of participation in the programmes at one mixed centre (Melaleuca). This included standardised health and wellbeing measures such as the World Health Organisation – Five Well-Being Index (a short self-reported measure of current mental wellbeing).
Interviews were conducted with multiple female participants from a number of centres (Acacia; Correa; Waratah) exploring their reasons for coming and the physical, mental and social benefits they gained from their participation. Participants also provided their perspectives on the meaning of wellness and wellbeing.
Adapted extracts of these datasets are available within the data zip file for the purposes of analysis. You will be allocated to one of three streams which contains both quantitative and qualitative data. Note that you should only analyse the one stream you have been allocated.

Wellbeing – Most days I enjoy life… (strongly agree to strongly disagree)
Analysis of one additional data point of your choice
Using the interview data provided, present a short qualitative analysis (thematic analysis):
Outline three themes that you have identified in your analysis of the data. Use at least one direct quote from the interview transcript to support your discussion.
