Making any kind of change from the traditional way that something has always been done in a business can meet with resistance from the people involved. In the Moving Beyond Budgeting in Healthcare clip describes Rick Mower’s “Three levels of resistance to change”. Level one he says is logical resistance, level two is emotional resistance, and the last level is really about trust. However, he says the leadership at Park Nicollet Health Services decided to make the change and adopt a rolling forecast. Do you think the Beyond Budgeting model that involves a rolling forecast is something that your organization would benefit from?
