You should then summarize the research that has been conducted on that specific treatment for that specific disorder (using the 3 approved empirical articles). Given space limitations, you will not be able to provide the same level of detail in your paper as you did in the group presentation. For example, you would not include the specific names of measures, their psychometric properties, etc. However, you should still provide some information about the methodology of the study, for example, giving a brief description of the sample (e.g., “a sample of predominantly White adult women”) and briefly indicating the study’s design (e.g., “Participants were randomized to either receive treatment A or treatment B”). Additionally, you should clearly state what each study found.
In your conclusion paragraph, you should integrate the findings of the empirical articles you have covered to provide a “take-home” message (e.g., “Treatment X appears to be effective in treating disorder Y and is effective in both an individual and group format”; “Treatment X appears to be effective for disorder Y among predominantly White samples; however, less research has been conducted among samples of Color”) as well as identify areas for future research.
