You must also consider situations where some behaviors or errors may have a negative impact on care and discuss your part as a student nurse in recognizing and reporting such situations. You must acknowledge the ethical, legal, and political/policy and professional frameworks that influence a person-centered care approach in nursing practice.
Referring to the key texts will help to address this. You should provide a well-structured academically written piece of work, which has a clear and concise introduction and conclusion. This should be written in the passive voice*. Your writing should be supported with evidence from the wider literature. You should not base your writing on your opinion but support your writing with good quality evidence from literature. This should be referenced in the text and include a reference list at the end, using APA 6th edition as set out in the referencing guidance. You should use the recommended search methods to source this evidence i.e. using key health and social care databases. Your essay should include a definition of person-centered care, with some discussion around how this applies within nursing care. Consider how the person-centered approach benefits patients/clients.
