Following completion of the Module 3 readings, conduct a windshield survey of your community. Keep in mind that your windshield survey can be done as you drive to work, go to the grocery store or walk around your neighborhood.
In 400-500 words, describe what you see as the priority populations and their relevant determinants of health. Also, outline what you believe makes the neighbourhood healthy and unhealthy related to various priority populations. Finally, answer the questions:
1) how did the definitions of community health and public health nursing, population health and population health promotion, and the determinants of health guide your windshield survey and descriptions? and
2) What would you describe as the top three health inequities in your community? Any priority populations? Give examples of observations that support your top three health concerns and priority population?
