For your project plan report, you should include the following elements:
1. Roles and Responsibilities
a. Define the role of the project manager, project team, stakeholders and other key persons who
are involved in the scope of the project.
b. Include who is responsible for scope management and responsible for accepting
deliverables of the project
2. Project Scope Statement
a. Detail the project’s deliverables and the work necessary to create these deliverables. You
should include:
i. Project scope description – describes what the project will accomplish
ii. Product acceptance criteria – describes what requirements must be met in order for
the project to be accepted as complete
iii. Project deliverables – detailed list of deliverables the project will result in
iv. Project exclusions- description of work that is not included in the project and outside
of the scope
v. Project constraints – lists resource limits for time, money, manpower, and equipment
vi. Project assumptions – describes the list of assumptions the project team and
stakeholders are working under to complete the project

a. Subdivide the project steps into smaller deliverables
4. Project Schedule
a. Define the project team’s approach to creating the project schedule.
b. Describe how the team will monitor the project schedule and manage changes.

d. Include any project scheduling models, methodologies, techniques, etc. that you will use in
your project schedule
5. Cost Estimation
a. Describe how you plan to manage and control project costs.
