How to submit
You should submit your assessment via Turnitin. Turnitin is used for the electronic submission of your assignments. It is an online tool that you use to upload your work so that it can be marked by your tutor. You access Turnitin from Blackboard.
When you submit your work for marking there are some important things you need to know. It is your responsibility to:
• Use the correct naming convention for your files – student number/module/year
• Submit your completed assignment to the correct, FINAL submissions folder when it is ready for marking. Work submitted mistakenly to the DRAFT folder at this stage will not be marked.
• When you submit work for marking, you are accepting the submission declaration.
• Keep copies of email receipts from Turnitin as proof of submission.
• Check the file size. Files must be less than 40Mb. Contact your lecturer if your file is greater than 40Mb.
• Use and accepted file type. File types accepted are MS Word, OpenOffice Text, Word Perfect, PostScript, HTML, RTF, plain text, PDF, MS PowerPoint or MS Excel. For non-text based assessments your tutor may use the Blackboard Assignment Tool.

Provide an overview of the research context for your review.
Explain the process of how you found and analysed the articles.
Having read the articles, provide a critique of the articles from a research perspective.
Do not include articles in your assignment that have already been reviewed in class.
Do not include an existing literature review in your assignment.
Guidelines for this assignment:
• State the aim of the review.
• Present the context of the literature review with links to occupational therapy and other contexts such as political, social, professional etc.
• Present a methodology section which explains how and where you found the articles . Include details of any inclusion / exclusion criteria, years and number of articles included in the review. Explain clearly the process used to review and critique the literature .
• Present a section which critiques the articles in this review. Do not simply describe what happened in a study but provide a critical reading using research texts and articles to support your argument .
• You are not expected to provide critique for every aspect of each article but you must provide key critical considerations of the chosen articles such as the overall methodology, sample size and strategy, methods of data collection and analysis, issues of rigour / trustworthiness.
• There are different ways in which you can present the critique section. You may for example, want to critique each paper individually or an alternative could be to consider a critical aspect such as sample size, method or data collection and analysis etc. and critique this across the different articles presented.
• Provide an overall summary of your review, any indications for future research and the need for evidence based practice .
