You need to produce a three-month campaign for ‘a new music festival’. You have been asked to develop a three-month public relations campaign to promote the festival. You need to think about which sectors of the community you will target and how you might go about communicating with them, considering which public relations techniques to use to make the campaign a success. You should develop a creative structure and produce a document, which outlines how you will make the festival successful.
As this is a business document, you should think about language used, the design and style of your document. You could use sub-headings, bullet points and a logo, for example. Although this is not an essay, you do need to consult and include theory, and provide a bibliography of books you have used and referenced. Your bibliography should also reference any reports, newspaper articles, or web research, which you use in the document. Use 1.5-line spacing.
The Campaign Document MUST contain the following elements:
1. Campaign Plan – this major part of your assignment will be split into sections (e.g.: Analysis / Awareness, Aims / Objectives, Strategy, Publics / Audiences, Messages, Tactics, Media, Implementation, Evaluation)
2.Budget (£30,000)
3.Time-plan
4.Press Release suitable for a local newspaper launching the campaign
5.A news image idea.
You can choose where the music festival will take place. This must be a real location.
