(a) the assumptions and beliefs you hold about people’s capacity to change, (b) the conditions that must be present to produce change, (c) how you view the role of the counselor as a therapist, (d) how you view the role of the client in therapy, (e) how you view the relationship between the counselor and client, (f) what are the central techniques and methods necessary to achieve therapeutic goals, (g) how your theory takes into account multicultural considerations and (h) are there clients for whom your orientation may not be suited.
