Assignment 2: Utilize the following 10 questions to interview an adolescent 14-19 years old.
What do you look for in a friend?
What is your favorite subject in school and why? And the adolescent can say nothing, however, ask why.
What is one thing that makes you happy?
What is one thing that makes you sad?
What do you want to be when you graduate high school/college?
Who is your role model and why?
Is there anything that is stressful to you right now and if so what?
Do you feel positive or negative about your body? And if comfortable to discuss why then ask that as well.
Have you ever done anything that your parents would not be proud of you for?
Do you have any accomplishments you are most proud of and why?
Directions for the paper:
Obtain consent from a family member or friend to ask their adolescent that fits within the age range specified the above questions. If the adolescent is between ages 14-17 then a parent or guardian must be present. Be sure to note this but you do not have to provide any written proof.
Refer to the adolescent as ‘participant 2’ or utilize a different name. Please do not utilize the adolescent’s actual name.
Record the answers the adolescent provides.
You will turn in the answers to the questions along with your paper.
Discuss the responses the adolescent provided in terms of development. You can utilize the different chapters in the book as support.

What do their responses say about their memory?
What do their response say about their cognition and growth?
