You are to find four (4) articles relevant to the topic. Articles that are acceptable for citation must be from scientific journals or scholarly texts. Problem (question):
You are a neuropsychologist and you have a client who is an Afghanistan war veteran. She lost the lower limb of her left arm, just below the elbow, while serving in Afghanistan. She is complaining that her hand is cramping and is extremely painful. You start to check her right hand and she says “No, doctor it is my left hand.” This is known as Phantom Limb Syndrome. How is it possible to have cramps and pain in a non-existing hand? Explain Phantom Limb could occur neurologically and describe treatment procedures for managing it.
