Purpose: This assignment will stress genuinely original inquiry, thorough research and responsible, ethical arguing. For the purposes of this essay, an “ethical argument” is neither a rant that “preaches to the choir” nor a space where two opposing sides shout at each other. Instead, this essay should promote a full understanding of the nuances of an issue directly related to the Book of Job. You should begin with thorough examination and a critique of your own and others’ views on the issue, with genuine research, with comprehensive exploration of multiple points of view, and with analysis of why there are different viewpoints on a given issue. Indeed, you will have to identify and engage with an audience that disagrees with your position. This assumed audience makes it a necessity for you to engage with the best possible counterarguments.
Directions: In this argumentative research project, you will compose a 7-10 page essay that avoids logical fallacies, forms an original position and presents a cogent, well-researched argument about the Book of Job
At least 5 high-quality academic sources should be referenced and cited. The essay must make use of the rhetorical and argumentative tools that have been discussed on Blackboard and honed in previous writing assignments, particularly the “Explaining a Concept” paper. Ultimately, this assignment should amount to a clear and unique contribution to the wider debate surrounding the Book of Job that relates (in some fashion) to our course theme “the eloquence of faith and doubt.”
Since this is a research paper, you must cite your sources within your paper and list them at the end on a Works Cited page. Follow the MLA format for documentation, which can be found in our St. Martin’s Guide and Purdue OWL. The final version of this paper will be evaluated on the basis of the specific criteria listed above. Your essay will also be evaluated for basic grammar and style.
PS: I have purchased 10 paper in total, so can you do 8 paper of the original paper and 2 papers for the Memo write a letter to me analyzing how you try to persuade the audience of your explanation of a concept (using the rhetorical terms: ethos, pathos, logos), and how you avoid logical fallacies in the construction of your audience.
Thank you very much
