You are presented with 3 OpEds links attached; for each OpEd, do the following:
Answer the following questions about EACH OpEd and compile these in one document
• Analyze the logos of the OpEd. In other words, what is the claim that is being made? What evidence does the author provide to support that claim? Do you think that the author provides enough evidence?
• Analyze the ethos of the OpEd. Who is the author? What do we know about the author’s experiences or credentials? Based on the information given about the author (without doing any outside research on the author), do you think the author is trustworthy to write about this topic?
• Analyze the pathos of the OpEd. Does the author use words, phrases, or examples that are meant to stir the reader’s emotions? Give examples and explain which emotions specifically are meant to be evoked (example: anger, love, passion, fear, etc.)
• Is the OpEd written in third person or first person? What do you think is the effect of this choice on how the OpEd is received by the reader?
• What is the title of the OpEd? How do you think the title affects the reader’s engagement with the OpEd?
