Your blogs and podcast must be significantly different from your first submission in order to avoid self-plagiarism. By choosing different sub-themes for your blogs and podcast, this will help to avoid academic dishonesty.

Blogs:

• Three 500 to 600 word blogs to be completed and hosted on Domains
• Each blog must provide an overview of the theoretical framework and/or key debates in the field while critically engaging with relevant academic
• The blogs are not just a summary of readings, you must also provide an analysis of the frameworks themselves, and their potential application in “real-world” case
• You are encouraged to take advantage of the blog format by including audiovisual content where
• Each blog must utilize at least three academic sources.
  • Reference sources and provide a Reference List at the end of the blog in CU Harvard style
• Choose three from the following module themes. These are very broad themes, so you may find it beneficial to choose a specific sub-theme within the overarching topic:
  • Media ecologies
  • Media infrastructures
  • Cultural geography (focusing on the space/place of media)
  • Media geography
  • Ecomedia

Podcast:

• One 5 minute podcast, hosted on Domains
  • Must include podcast script, approximately 750 words. Also on Coventry Domains.
  • Include references in CU Harvard style
  • The podcast should use at least three academic sources
• Choose one theoretical approach from your blogs and utilize it as the basis for an original case study. Use your theoretical framework to analyze your case study, while also providing a brief overview of your methodology for listener
• Your intended podcast audience is the general public. In crafting your podcast/script, consider how you would explain your methodologies and case study analysis to the general public.
• You podcast should not be a summary of your blog – use the blog as a starting point in the analysis of a specific case study of your

Marking Process and Feedback.

All work will be graded by one of your tutors: Melissa Avdeeff or JongMi Kim and feedback will be provided through Moodle in a timely manner.

Formative feedback will be available within the workshops and through booking office hours with your tutors.

Feedback sheets will be used to provide detailed feedback. In general, you will be assessed on the following:

• Understanding and quality of engagement with theories in blog and podcast content.
• Quality of writing and podcast.
• Accuracy of information.
• Analytical skills in podcast case study.
• Alignment with the intended outcomes of the assignment brief.
