Leadership and Team building Task brief & rubrics:
Task: Define and discuss contemporary management and leadership, and critically analyze a chosen leadership profile.
• This assignment should be completed individually.
TASK DESCRIPTION:
• Define contemporary management and leadership. Discuss the current roles and responsibilities of managers vs. those of leaders, in organizations. 40% of total MT grade.
• Choose a 20/21st. century leader and research his/her profile, focusing on the skills and traits (at least 2 of each), which make them an effective leader. Justify your choice and support your analysis with specific examples. 60% of total MT grade.
Expected table of contents:
– Introduction
– What is management?
– What is leadership?
– Key similarities and differences between the two concepts.
– Current roles and responsibilities of managers and leaders.
– Chosen leader’s profile introduction and background information.
– Discussion of key skills and traits that make them an effective leader (including examples and justification)
– Conclusions
– Bibliography
– The assignment should be written in the form of an essay and submitted via turnitin.
Formalities:
• Word-count: 3000 words
• Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded of the total word-count.
• Font: Arial 12 pts.
• Text alignment: Justified.
• The in-text References and the Bibliography have to be in Harvard’s citation style.

Weight: This task is a 40% of your total grade for this subject.
