Title: Art Movements in History. (include the name of the movement you chose)
Art movement had been part of the art history. They are a tendency or style in art with a specific common philosophy or goal, followed by a group of artists during a specific period of time. Art movements were especially important to modern artist, each new movement would define new ways to do art and would nurture new artist.
Choose ONE art movement and you will write a 1200 words document about it. Explain the movement from its beginnings, its artists, media, special characteristic, etc. Include 1 example image of an important artwork from the movement you chose and write a formal analysis (remember a formal analysis includes a description and a critique all together). Include more images if you wish to do so, however, remember to follow the image format as shown on the template.
Follow the following guidelines for best practices in writing a correct formatted class paper.
You must:
- Follow the MLA format template from the course tools tab. Paper format is 20% of your grade. Remember to cite at the end, you must follow the citation format correctly, or use the free citation machine link also found in course tools.
- Use information from Google Arts and Culture link (in course tools tab), go to explore and go to art movements. Thus, your textbooks, and any other article from google/scholar. The students are not allowed to use Wikipedia. For images, google images will be fine.
- Check, check and check again. Proofreading is important. Your papers will go through Turnitin plagiarism checker. Once you submit it, if you received 30% or more, you must check the report and fix any mistake issue that might give you such a high plagiarism percentage. Sometimes this happens because the citation format is not correct. I encourage you to use the citation machine link, it’s easier.
- You have unlimited chances for submitting your paper until the due date. The deadline for the class paper is Thursday, August 13th, 2020.
