Include a brief summary of the article. Most of the essay should center around unpacking the author’s argument. You should discuss the author’s use (or lack thereof) of the following:
The rhetorical context of the article: exigence, audience, and constraint
The rhetorical appeals: ethos, pathos, and logos
At least one recommendation of how the author could make their argument more compelling via the rhetorical elements.
*Guiding questions:
What rhetorical element could the author have included more of? What rhetorical element could the author have included less of? Which parts of the argument are the most effective or convincing? Which are the least? Remember to explain the reasoning behind your answers to these questions.
