Write the two essays in Word using standard page format and comply with the rules of Standard English. Each essay should be at least three pages in length.
Attached in the material section are the RUBRIC and BACKGROUND INFORMATION files.
1) Your answers to the questions should be complete, accurate, and thoughtful responses that demonstrate your understanding of the concepts contained in the course materials and the course readings from the textbooks assigned since the midterm examination. Your responses should also demonstrate your ability to think critically about those materials. For the Essay II prompt you should include a thesis statement, a thoughtful discussion of the thesis that is developed in a logical manner, and a conclusion. Do not repeat the question in your response.
2) It will be important to include an accurate and complete description of the concepts you refer to in your Essay II. (For example, if you refer to jury nullification, you need to fully explain what it is for your response to be complete.)
3) You are required to provide support for each of the main points in your answers from the assigned readings in the course textbooks for your response to Essay II prompts, and you will need to apply multiple sources to support your answers to every part of this question’s prompts. In other words, you are to integrate and apply information from reading assignments since the midterm examination into your answers. Failure to include specific text to the assigned readings would have a major impact on your grade. You should use the author last names, the editors of the Before the Law readings when there is no author, and the chapter title in The Moral Compass to identify the assigned reading support for your content. Essays that only express your opinion will not earn many of the points.
