You are required to produce a case study based on a child or young person from your practice, either currently or from previous practice experience, and offer an evaluation and analysis on a specific area(s) of their development of your own choosing. For example, cognitive or social and emotional.
In addition, you will include how the child/young person is supported (or was supported) within your practice and provide an evaluation of why the support is important.
The case study is to be written in the style of a report and the sections are to be presented under headings; full guidance on the presentation of the case study will be provided in the taught sessions.
All of the writing must be supported with theoretical perspectives and evidence of academic reading. All of the information provided in the case study is required to adhere to confidentiality and data protection, therefore must remain anonymous.
