The assessment will be on a “Lifestyle” TV program (it can be any show on TV in the past or present schedule…loads on TLC (The Lifestyle Channel) to take from, I would look at possibly choosing either “Say yes to the dress” which is syndicated – US, UK etc etc or the “90 day fiancé” syndicate as the show to use as the basic for the assessment)
By choosing one of these shows then look at the full criteria of the essay support guide and as the requirement states it is not actually an essay but an assessment upon understanding of the areas involved and the lectures and the additional reading and any journals looked at. The support material basically asks this:-
“This assignment requires students to assess and critically analyses one or two of the key issues, concepts or themes raised in the module. The assignment must address the above by paying specific reference to examples drawn from one of the following formats (i.e. apply concept to textual example) :
–Broadcast news (egThe Channel 4 News)
–Political discussion show (egQuestion Time)
–Current affairs (egNewsnight)
–The talk show (egThe Jeremy Kyle Show)
–Documentary (egThe War You Don’t See)
–Reality television (egThe X-Factor)
–Lifestyle television (eg Say Yes to the dress etc)

Using the format of Lifestyle TV
But do not use any programs used in the 2 sample essay as it’s an automatic fail to do so.
