The 1937 Haitian Massacre (also known as ‘The Parsley Massacre’) was a mass killing that occurred from October 2nd – 5th, 1937 against Haitians living in Dominican Republic’s Cibao region located in the northwestern border. Under the orders of the dictator, Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, Dominican troops came from different areas of the country and carried out the massacre.
