End Case for Reflection:
Think about a classroom you are familiar with. Could be your observation setting, could be from a movie, could be your child’s classroom, could be from one of the classrooms you grew up with.
Start with defining the setting. zoom, regular, movie; be specific
1. Tell me about the patterns you see regarding how many times teachers call on students from various sub groups. (gender, ethnicity,)
Do you notice anything about the amount of attention each student receives?
2. What about group representation in the classroom? Does one group (boys, whites, native-English speakers etc.) get more than its fair share of teacher attention. If yes, how do you explain it? If it is justified, why?
3.Read long? What strategies mentioned could you see yourself asking your cooperating teacher if you could try with his/ her class?
